Practicing To Be Upright

Practicing To Be Upright was developed by Limited Flow for TaPP fest 2025.

The balance is tipping, and a new equilibrium is impending. Where do you stand when it all comes crashing down? What do you have to do to hold yourself up? Can we hold space for each other, or will egos begin to collide? In practicing to be upright, we explore what it means to stay upright in a world that feels like it's upside down and the resilience of human nature.

During the first iteration of Practicing To Be Upright, I acted as the creative producer for the company. Access my producing portfolio here.

Developed over Twelve Weeks, Practicing To Be Upright was a contemporary movement production that did exactly what the title says. Practicing was created through a collaborative devising process and resulted in a two day sowing at The New Adelphi Theatre.

This work blended scientific theming, built from a found stimulus of Equilibrium with a grounded narrative that followed performers through a journey of finding balance in a world that feels, and sometimes looks, upside-down.
